Deadboy and the Elephantmen “Stop, I’m Already Dead (Live)”

An excellent version (which I think I prefer to the studio recording), performed live on the Henry Rollins Show. I love how simple and raw the emotion is. Enjoy!

Nonagon “Track Seven”

A lovely, moody track with that brilliant live drum kit, from the Verdigris (pre-master). An album conceptualized, recorded and finished within the month of February. Astounding on it’s own, and unreal knowing it was all done in less than 30 days. (And for which I am quite proud to have gotten the chance to design the cover art.)

Bob Marley Week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

In case anyone is interested, I ripped the audio from Jimmy Fallon’s recent Bob Marley Week and posted the MP3s on my server (along with this quick coverart I designed). Audio quality isn’t the greatest—and I didn’t spend much time editing the tracks—but it’s enough to get the idea and thoroughly enjoy.

Some great classics, by some great artists:

  1. Ziggy Marley Interview
  2. Ziggy Marley “Get Up, Stand Up”
  3. Chris Cornell “Redemption Song (Acoustic)”
  4. Jennifer Hudson “No Woman, No Cry ft. The Roots”
  5. Jakob Dylan “I Shot The Sherrif ft. The Roots”
  6. Lauren Hill “Could You Be Loved”
  7. Lauren Hill “Chances Are”
  8. The Roots “Them Belly Full”
  9. Lenny Kravitz “Roots Rock Reggae ft. The Roots”

Solar Keys “Okinawa”

The opening track off a wonderful ambient album El Lanzón (available free online) — full of melancholy, reflection, and inspiration. It seems very appropriate at this particular moment.

Roots Manuva “Witness (1 Hope) [Slugabed Remix]”

With a little Stevie bass-funk, and a whole lotta’ attitude, this Slugabed remix off the Ninja Tune XX comp has got me whipped goodness.
